The Trithemius method as described in Barrett's The Magus is surprisingly easy to accomplish by its most bare of components.

This is my set up

I've heard from other magicians that they achieved results with the table drawn on paper and using a cup of water as the scrying implement.

So long as you have a table of practise, a scrying device (I prefer a crystal ball but a mirror, obsidian or a vessel of water will do) your pretty much good to go and will more than likely achieve some results.

Sure thing. Here's a general structure for how one can go about doing this:

First, figure out your petition. This isn't the time to be shy or sheepish, no one else will ever read this so be as selfish as you like. I find it's helpful to be clear on which characteristics are a must, and which are preferences. For some people, the person being geographically local is a must, but for others it's just a preference and they wouldn't mind being long distance if it's the right person. There are many things you may choose to include or not include, such as wealth, age range, hobbies, physical appearance, whether or not they have been married before or have children from past relationships, religious affiliations, etc.

Write all this down during a Friday Venus hour, framed in the usual way for petitions in the present tense, on some parchment using green ink (or even better, a full Venusian ink). On the other side, draw the Fourth Pentacle of Venus. Have a green seven-day candle ready, as well as a plate or larger tile to put it on which has the First Pentacle of Venus drawn on it (I was very much inspired by Balthazar's method he describes here in this video - feel free to use the other four candles he recommends as well and draw on them in the way he describes). During the same or a later Friday Venus hour, conjure Anael using Drawing Spirits into Crystals or any other planetary angel evocation method. Once the angel is present, tell her your desires and read to her your list of qualities, bidding her to bring you a person who fulfills these for you into our life as quickly as spiritually and physically possible. Pray for this in her name, in the name of the Holy Trinity, and in the name of your ancestors and guardians. Anoint the petition/pentacle with oil and place it under the green candle. I personally then add seven different Venusian herbs associated with drawing love and attraction, waking them up one by one by praying over them and having Anael lay her power into their forms, and placing them around the plate. Finally, light all the candles, extinguishing them once the hour is complete. From then on, relight the candle and pray to Anael once a day in a Venus hour of your choice when you have the time to be home and watch over the flame.

You can modify this in various ways, including using two figure candles (one representing yourself, and one your future partner) which you can set on either side of the plate and slowly push towards each other each day as you burn them. In that case, hollow out the bottoms and fill them with the herbs, and also a small magnet or lodestone in each. You can also revamp the whole thing to make a charm bag you can carry on your person each day and feed with the same oils, incense, and prayers you used in the conjuration weekly on a Friday Venus hour which you have Anael enchant for you. This is especially helpful if you hope to meet someone local. As always, get yourself out there, be in places where you can meet the kind of person you're interested in, and keep feeding your work, asking the spirits to bring this individual to you—whether it is by your friends introducing them to you, by them messaging you on a platform, running into them at an event, or any other possible way to meet.

I like to add into the petition a "tell" - something completely innocent and random about the person that will signal that they're the one. It can be something they end up bringing up in conversation with you, a particular physical feature, a shared favourite genre, etc. Lots of possibilities!

If and when things manifest, make offerings to Anael and leave them by a church that hosts frequent weddings. If you meet a lot of people but none of them click, try again with a different petition that's more specific, and swap the central candle technique. The basic framework can also be applied to other beings that assist in drawing love that you might have relationships with. Feel free to be creative, but do check with the spirits using divination to confirm the steps.

As long as I am in the swing of sharing my wood crafting, this is my DSIC Table of practice. I finished the Seven spheres a couple of months ago, so I decided to get into the classic more deeply.

Made of wood, pyrographed, edges are bronzed.

I have to say, I am enjoying making the tools almost as much as using them.

Think what you will about me, I know you can make do with drawings on paper, even printed paper, I like things of substance, I like decorating the tools so I guess the two hobbies, magic and the need to make stuff go hand in hand:)

DIY magician

So I've been complaining that I lack the ebony pedestal as requested by Barrett's 'the Magus' for the art of drawing spirits into crystals.

Well I've been relatively free at work so I've started to construct my own version.

Using poplar laths I made the square shape, Barrett states a circle but I'm simply not able to do so. With this frame I cut a small block of hardwood to attach it to for a stable base.

So within the empty area is where the crystal ball shall sit. I knew that my ball is approximately 70mm wide so it was measured to fit. I intend to create a small divet in the bottom of the lath so the ball can rest in it without it wobbling or falling off. All components were screwed together.

Next came to design;

Using Barrett's instructions and some of my own artistic license this is how i intend the final product to look. I chose to have the name of Raphael the angel of the east at the top, because my design of the table of practise has the king Oriens being the topmost. It was based on a design by frater Ashen Chassan.

When I come to paint it black I intend to mix the paint with all the sawdust from when I carve the ebony wand. That way the pedestal shall contain (a very small amount) of ebony.

I intend to use my consecrated inks to paint on all the appropriate words and designs. Maybe mix my gold leaf too, just so it'll contain gold carat.

I've always tried to be clever and crafty when making my tools, so let's see how this project goes!

any text or source you recommend going to when consulting seven spheres in terms of double-checking it's information? I just ordered it online because I'm now interested in planetary workings and I'd like to have as much on hand.

Firstly I would look at Francis Barrett's The Magus, where the original Drawing Spirits into Crystals (DSIC) manuscript comes from. The link for it on Esoteric Archives is [here]. Similarly, I would look over the Heptameron for obvious parallels and exploration of angelic conjuration; link [here].

You can also check out Ashen Chassan's "Gateways Through Stone and Circle" to see his experiences conjuring angels using the same ritual, but with far more attention to the details of DSIC. Reading his book with Seven Spheres is quite fruitful.

Sam Block over at The Digital Ambler blog recently published what is essentially a Master's thesis-length exploration of DSIC, drawing on all these books alongside his own experiences. You can start reading the posts [here]. His blog is a treasure trove of resources on DSIC and other forms of ritual magic; you can read it all sequentially or skip around to the topics that most intrigue you about the ritual procedure. She's the only girl jock because, when we first concepted the AU, Legion Commander was the only female Strength hero. NOW THAT'S CHANGED SINCE, Beadie and Valoura, but, still.

I am also, very excited for Lina's debut, like so excited. Out of all the characters in the fic she's had the biggest rework since we started the AU and she's dead ass one of my favourites she's fucking GREAT!!!

Hi everyone!

If you follow me on my other social media's or ordered a reading from me this week you may have noticed that I have yet to send anything out or that there haven't been any streams this week.

My grandfather unfortunately passed away a couple days ago and my fiancé and I had to pack up and drive 10 hours to the funeral without much notice.

The funeral was yesterday however after this tragedy and on top of some other mental health issues I've decided to take just a few days away from everything so we will not be back until Monday and I was unable to bring any divination equipment with me due to my family's religious views

Readings will start being sent out on Tuesday this upcoming week. That also means there will be no restock until next Monday.

Are there any people in your character's life that aren't a good influence? Do they have any unhealthy relationships, either currently or in the past? How have these destructive relationships affected them?

For a character that has a bad influence in their life, I don't actually have a name for him yet but he's the step brother of Spirit, he got kinda adopted by the king after his dad left him. so yeah the kings not too great of an influence, because he's basically an evil entity trapped inside a necklace being worn by a mortal of his choice that he took over the body of. His relationship with the king isn't bad though, like the king actaully kinda cares about him(so I geuss he's not actaully evil XD), but like, the king is kinda a bad guy, so ye

Another character I can think of that's had bad influences in their life is Robyn, his dad probably wasn't a good influence, and his freinds in school probably weren't either

As for unhealthy relationships both of these characters didnt have great relationships with their dad actually XD which is kinda funny I brought both of them up because I didnt even think about that. Deffinitly in different ways though, like Robyn's dad was a jerk towards him, meanwhile the other character his dad just wasnt really there and left

And yeah I'd say for both of these characters their relationships with their dads affected them

Now that I think of it does this count or did you mean romantic relationships? Because I can also give an answer for that but I don't feel like going on about it as well unless I know that's what you meant because I feel I've already talked a lot XD

Although before I stop I feel should say that these two characters arent in the same world. I actaully dont know why I felt I needed to say that but I did

DSIC update

The amazing @coyote-696 gave me a tip-off of an ebony dowel for sale on eBay. Well two actually, one of ebony and one of lignum vitae. They were a bargain beyond belief so I bought them.

Naturally I intend to turn this ebony into the wand. My Solomonic hazel wand has been a fine substitute, but I'm excited (and slightly terrified) to start to carve and gild the trithemius wand.

I've been doodling a design, and I'm not sure whatever to add extra symbols on the "ego alpha et omega" side or to leave it plain. Barrett just gives that text and no additions, but I want mine to be unique, have a bit of flair. Open to any thoughts and ideas on this
